Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing)

This four-year program provides students with a solid foundation in health sciences, nursing theory and evidence-based practice. Students engage in extensive clinical rotations in reputable hospitals and community settings, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in various specialties such as medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics, mental health and community health nursing among others.

The curriculum integrates both classroom instruction and practical training, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, critical thinking, ethical decision-making and cultural competence. Students also develop essential communication, leadership and teamwork skills that are vital in today’s interdisciplinary healthcare environments.

In addition to core nursing subjects, the program includes courses in anatomy and physiology, military health service, pharmacology, pathology, research methods and health policy etc. Students are encouraged to participate in health outreach programs, seminars and workshops to deepen their understanding of community health challenges and public health strategies.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the licensure examination to become Registered Nurses (RNs). They are equipped to work in hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, schools and other healthcare institutions, or to pursue advanced studies in nursing or specialized fields.

BSc Nursing (Top Up)

The two-year top-up program is designed for qualified Registered Nurses (Diploma holders) who wish to upgrade their credentials to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The curriculum focuses on advanced nursing concepts, leadership, research, and evidence-based practice.

Students benefit from flexible learning options, clinical placements, and exposure to specialized areas such as management, education, and community health. The program prepares graduates for leadership roles, further studies, and expanded career opportunities in healthcare.

Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded a BSc Nursing degree and are well-positioned for career advancement or postgraduate education.
