Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSc Midwifery)

The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSc Midwifery) program at the Ghana Armed Forces College of Nursing and Midwifery is a rigorous and comprehensive academic program designed to produce highly skilled, compassionate and professional midwives capable of meeting the dynamic health needs of individuals, families and communities.

The curriculum integrates both classroom instruction and practical training, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, critical thinking, ethical decision-making and cultural competence. Students also develop essential communication, leadership and teamwork skills that are vital in today’s interdisciplinary healthcare environments.

Students are introduced to a broad range of academic disciplines including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, obstetrics, gynecology, neonatology, public health and healthcare ethics. In addition, the curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, communication, emergency preparedness and professional accountability, equipping students with the tools to function confidently in both civilian and military healthcare environments.
